ACMHC | Therapist

Lizzie has worked in the mental health field since 2017, serving children, adolescents, adults, and couples. She is known for her warm and empathetic approach, helping clients navigate life’s challenges in a supportive and engaging way. She believes that mental health is essential to overall well-being and is passionate about helping individuals build strong interpersonal connections and meaningful emotional bonds.
Lizzie’s passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults is rooted in early experiences. She studied music education before transitioning to mental health, where she worked as a Case Manager and Community-Based Rehabilitation Specialist. She has also facilitated a social and emotional skills group for children at a local YMCA and has provided counseling to clients of all ages, with a primary focus on young adults and college students. She is expanding her skills with training in Play Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy, integrating these approaches with evidence-based modalities such as Person-Centered Therapy, Strengths-Based Counseling, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Lizzie has experience working with clients facing a wide range of challenges, including Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, Grief, Faith Transitions, Codependency, and Domestic Violence. In addition, she has completed Gottman Level 1 Training, is a certified facilitator for the SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) Assessment, and is an instructor for John Van Epp’s PICK and Couple LINKS programs.
Lizzie earned her BS in Marriage and Family Studies with a Professional Clinical Emphasis and a Minor in Music, followed by an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Originally from Wisconsin, she spent over a decade in Southeast Idaho before relocating to Utah to be closer to family. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, playing board and card games with family, exploring nature, and making memories with her niece and nephews.
