Iris Prescott

ACMHC | Therapist

Hi, I’m Iris. I am a native Spanish speaker with over 10 years of international experience in the mental health field. My journey is rooted in a deep passion for helping individuals navigate the emotional and psychological distress that arises during life's most difficult seasons. I am committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients of all backgrounds feel empowered to pursue the healing they deserve.
I specialize in helping clients resolve internal conflicts and heal from life-altering challenges, including medical trauma, grief, and the psychological impact of terminal illness. My approach is integrative and holistic; I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help harmonize conflicting "parts" of the self and incorporate Somatic Therapy to address how the body holds and releases psychological distress.
For those navigating trauma, I offer EMDR and Attachment-Focused care. I also draw from CBT, DBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help young adults build practical coping skills for anxiety and depression. To further support couples and families, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFFT) and Play Therapy, and I am currently expanding my practice by completing advanced training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
As a "lifelong learner," I am constantly seeking new skills to better serve my clients. When I am not in the office, I find my own balance by hiking in nature or enjoying board games and movies with my family.
