Teigen Iwaasa

MSW Intern | Therapist 

Teigen Iwaasa is an MSW student with a passion for working with neurodiverse individuals, youth, and families. He has experience in residential treatment, and special education.

Before starting his MSW, Teigen was a Lead Residential Coach at a treatment center for neurodiverse teenagers, where he trained staff, helped develop treatment goals, and supported neurodiverse youth. He also worked as a special education para-professional, assisting students with diverse needs.

Teigen earned a dual degree in Psychology and Japanese with a minor in Computer Science from BYU. He brings a strong foundation in psychology, a trauma-informed approach, and a unique blend of technical and interpersonal skills.

He’s excited to apply his experience in a clinical setting and continue learning. In his free time, he enjoys language learning, watching movies, and connecting with others.
