Paola Jensen

Neurofeedback Specialist

I am originally from Puebla, Mexico. I immigrated with my small family to Utah when I was 15 years old. As a first-generation student, I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Family Studies at Brigham Young University. As part of the BYU Center for Emotion and Cognition, I had the opportunity to research the development of social and emotional cognition in children and young adults. I also focused on learning about the importance of healthy sexuality and how to create meaningful relationships.  I have a deep love and respect for minority marginalized groups and how their development has affected their lives. I hope to become a bridge and a resource to them so that they can reach their full potential as they become a transitional character in their family and community.

Beyond my professional life, I am a wife, a mom,  a daughter, a sister, and an aunt. I enjoy homeschooling my little one so that he can grow up being bilingual. My family and I enjoy outdoor activities, such as camping, hiking, and swimming. I also enjoy going to new restaurants from countries all over the world.
