Matthew Carlisle
AMFT | Therapist
Matt discovered his passion for helping others during a two-year religious mission, which led him to shift his career path from engineering to human services. He graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and later earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide.
Early in his career, Matt worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), primarily assisting children diagnosed with Autism. This experience solidified his desire to become a family therapist and help families in need, particularly those with neurodivergent members. Matt also gained valuable insight into family dynamics and parent-child relationships during his time as a caseworker with the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS).
Committed to professional growth, Matt continues to prioritize learning and development. While he is familiar with a variety of therapeutic approaches, his primary focus is on Structural Family Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Motivational Interviewing. He specializes in supporting families facing the unique challenges of neurodivergence and other disabilities.
Outside of his work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. His hobbies include competitive sports, playing musical instruments, and video and board games—activities he enjoys most when shared with friends and family. Matt strives to maintain professionalism while also embracing his playful side, always aiming to bring a smile to those around him.
