Nathan Porter

Nate received his MSW from Brigham Young University. Nate has received training in EMDR, Neurofeedback, sand tray, theraplay, and play therapy. He uses these interventions in his therapeutic work with children, teens, and young adults, while also incorporating interventions such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness practice, helping his clients to heal and grow from the difficult experiences in their lives. Nate also focuses on the impact that social media and gaming have on mental health and seeks to help his clients navigate the sometimes difficult and complex digital world. Nate enjoys working with the parents of his children and teen clients, and seeks to help parents feel empowered in the journey of healing and growth for their children.

Nate is an avid Utah Jazz fan and loves all things sports. Nate competed in Track & Field growing up and ran collegiately at Utah Valley University. Nate uses his knowledge and experience with sports to connect with clients and to help them find the potential that they have inside of themselves. Nate has found that developing a relationship of trust with his clients and focusing on what is important to them provides the best opportunity for success and growth in therapy.
