MSW | Intern
Mia has a deep love and passion for walking with people in their sacred journey towards healing. She works closely with her clients to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters healing and growth. This includes working in a collaborative process with clients to help them identify their strengths, build coping skills and develop strategies to overcome challenges.
Mia is an intern working towards her Master's in Social Work at Brigham Young University. She is also currently working on a trauma-informed certification and EMDR certification. She utilizes evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Mindfulness-based tools to help clients achieve their goals.
In her spare time, Mia loves to flip furniture, bake chocolate cookies, walk her dog, play pickle-ball, spend time with her husband, go for hikes, and when possible go to the beach.
