Jamie Call

MSW-Intern 

Jamie is an intern therapist currently working towards her masters degree in social work at Brigham Young University. Previous to starting her masters education, Jamie was an elementary school teacher for four years in Nebo School District. She taught sixth grade and third grade then worked as a small groups reading teacher for kindergarten through fifth grade students at her school. Jamie has also worked as a counselor at a youth summer camp. She has always loved children and youth and loves helping them work through challenges large and small. Jamie has also enjoyed the work she has done practicing couples therapy. She most recently completed an internship working as a therapist at Scenic View Academy, a transitional school for adults with Autism.

Jamie believes that compassion for self and others is instrumental in healing and growth. She practices multiple therapy modalities including ACT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing. Jamie is looking forward to being EMDR certified during her internship at The Green House Center.

Jamie enjoys spending time outdoors playing sports like soccer, spikeball, and pickleball. Jamie also enjoys paddle boarding and rock climbing. Jamie loves to spend her downtime gardening or reading. Some of her favorite books include Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach, The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown, and Because of Winn Dixie by Kate DiCamillo. Jamie loves to visit with her parents and her two sisters and their husbands whenever she gets the chance.
