Andrea received her Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Promotion. While working at a Drug and Alcohol recovery center, she felt the desire to help individuals in a deeper and more meaningful way. She returned back to Brigham Young University and received her Masters in Social work. Andrea has found therapy as her new passion. She believes each person has the ability to find answers and healing within themselves and her role as a therapist is to provide support and guidance along their journey.
Andrea enjoys individual, couple, and group therapy. She has experience working with individuals dealing with addictions, depression, anxiety, attachment concerns, difficulty adjusting to new life situations, relationship concerns and severe mental illness. Andrea likes to use Motivational interviewing, ACT, EFT, and CBT skills with her clients along with providing experiential therapy.
Andrea has taught dance for the last 10 years and enjoys performing modern dance when she has a chance. She also loves exploring new things, being outside, fishing, crafting, and has recently started gardening.
