From a young age Jalynn has always had a desire to help people. She finds great satisfaction in aiding others to see life’s challenges from a different perspective. She believes that everyone is the expert in their own lives and has the resources to solve their problems within themselves. She is passionate about helping those who have experienced hardship find new meaning in life. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at Utah State University and then went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Brigham Young University.
Jalynn has experience working with people of all ages, life circumstances, and cultures. Her most memorable work has been with children and adult survivors of sexual abuse as well as working with incarcerated men with childhood trauma. She has experience facilitating groups on parenting skills, substance abuse, mindfulness, shame, and abuse education and prevention. Jalynn uses therapeutic modalities such as Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Sand Tray, Talk Therapy, and is on her way to becoming trained in EMDR.
Jalynn enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, running, and watching documentaries.
