From the time Candice Packer was 16 years old, she knew she wanted to help others discover their true worth and ability to heal themselves. Knowing she wanted to become a therapist, she started her educational journey at Utah State University, receiving a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. She then continued her education, earning a Masters Degree from the University of Utah in Social Work.
Candice is certified to teach Good Touch Bad Touch, a sexual abuse prevention program, and has taught hundreds of children of preschool age up to sixth grade. She has a wealth of knowledge and years of working with at-risk youth. Candice has held positions in both inpatient treatment centers and outpatient clinics, as well as experience working with the Department of Corrections.
She has taught parenting courses in classroom and home settings that include topics such as communication, stress management, and discipline. Candice works with all ages, including: children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in working with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, military trauma, and physical and sexual abuse. Candice uses therapeutic modalities such as talk, play therapy, sand tray, DBT, and is working toward certification in EMDR.
She enjoys spending time with her 14 nieces and nephews, reading, and volunteering in her community.
